NTT DATA commits to Greek IT talent and the boost of digitalization with a new office in Athens, aiming to recruit 400 people

Aligned with current market needs and Greek efforts to boost digitization as a factor in building a more prosperous future, NTT DATA is entering the Greek market, aiming to help Greek society achieve digital development and growth.

In recent years, Greece has proved to be an outstanding operational base for major technology companies, which have entered the market to complement and extend their operations in Europe, mainly thanks to the availability of excellent IT talent and highly skilled people. NTT DATA believes Greece is a source of real added value to its business, while further demonstrating its commitment to young talent worldwide. The company aims to seek out great young talent, to invest in their training and development, to bring them into large-scale strategic projects, while also partnering on original research with major universities.

The disembarking of the IT consultancy will also contribute to Greek market development, helping in post-COVID economic recovery, while also creating added value in digitization services delivered internationally, with Greece as an important international base.

To achieve that, NTT DATA is committed to hiring the best talent, with the goal of recruiting more than 100 employees this year and over 400 by 2026. The company offers a flexible working model and the opportunity to work on international projects in a multicultural environment. In addition, the company is ready to share the best practices of a well-known company that has a proven track of success worldwide.

IT Greek talent to enhance the services to International Organizations

Greece has always been a country with highly skilled people, many of them already experienced in working for the International Organizations (IO) sector. Many big multinational companies are operating in the country, demonstrating that the Greek market can create development opportunities. The new base in Athens will therefore help NTT DATA strengthen and add value to the services it delivers for International Operations.

Fritz Hoderlein, CEO, NTT DATA Europe & LATAM, states that “we think that there is a great opportunity in our new open strategy for the future of work: Our approach to identify new talent pools is part of this strategy to attract and engage the best people in our industry worldwide. Greece is a great digital and business talent hub that will allow us to hire both high-tech skills and functional experts.”

According to Evangelos Konstantinis, Managing Director, NTT DATA Greece the entrance into the market “represents a great opportunity for talent in Greece. We hope every IT professional in the region will consider joining us. Having the chance to develop their careers with us is something that makes us very proud.”

“We strongly believe that through our office launch we will contribute to the country’s efforts to eliminate “brain drain” and become an innovation hub in the region. In addition, this is the ideal moment to generate growth opportunities for the country through the acceleration of digitization” added Konstantinis.
