everis Aerospace, Defense and Security (everis ADS) has acquired the Robotics Unit of Proytecsa, including aunav robots, to integrate it into its Defense Division. This way, everis ADS gains new and differential technological capabilities for its portfolio of products and services, and strengthens the aunav brand in the market. This asset is key for the industry of Defense and Security in Spain.
This operation represents a boost for the aunav project launched by Proytecsa, providing solvency, stability, and continuity for a product line that has become a reference, both nationally and internationally.
For everis ADS, this is a strategic move driven by a firm commitment to this type of technologies. In this sense, the aunav catalog will be at the core of the Robotics Area of the company, conceived as a starting point for the development of new business lines.
After the acquisition, everis ADS will preserve the totality of employees, as well as the centralized production activity in Binéfar (Huesca).
aunav robots
aunav robots stand out for their combination of strength, power, precision, and accuracy, features that make them ideal for their use in military and police operations involving the disabling of improvised explosive devices (IED), explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), or NRBC (Nuclear, Radiological, Biological and Chemical) activities, among other things. With over 200 units sold in more than 15 countries, this family of robots is endorsed by the trust placed in them over the last two decades by the explosive units of national institutions like the National Police, the Civil Guard, the Army, the Air Forces, and the Mossos d’Esquadra.
As part of the catalog, aunav.NEXT stands out as the most advanced robot in the market. It has two synced arms capable of lifting up to 250 kg, which also give the possibility of pre-programming moves, and a dual wheel/caterpillar traction system. Another one of the most relevant products is aunav.EOD, developed in collaboration with the National Police Forces and TEDAX units. aunav.EOD is a medium size, robust platform, which stands out for its force, precision, and lifting capacity.
The other major asset of the aunav portfolio is represented by robotic arms like aunav.CID and aunav.CID LIGHT, designed to be integrated with military vehicles and to provide support in explosive scanning, detection, and disabling tasks, among other things. This type of solutions have already been implemented in the Engineer Regiment of the Spanish Army, and have also been successfully used to disable explosives in scenarios as demanding as Iraq.
