Technology has been the main business driver during the past year, where everis, part of the NTT DATA Group, has highlighted how digitalization is a growth booster that supports every sector of the economy.
Although the context faced by companies in 2020 was a complex one, everis continued to accompany its customers in their digitalization processes. The consultancy firm has recently been named as the best company to work in Spain in 2021, according to Linkedin Top Companies. The annual report studies leading companies with more than 500 employees in each country, elaborating a ranking where the top 25 best companies to work and develop a career are summed up. Thus, the company ranks first among large corporations in leading sectors, standing out - according to the ranking itself - for its communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
In the Spanish market, everis is formed by 15,000 professionals, positioning itself within consulting as a technological expert in the design and implementation of solutions based on technologies
such as Cloud, Security, Data Analytics, or Artificial Intelligence for clients from the private sector and public administrations.
The company has kept pace in the development of its professionals and the incorporation of new talent, thanks to remote work, a high level of productivity, an integral development of professionals, and a culture that is fully committed to flexibility, adding collaboration and innovation as indispensable. Even though 2020 was a year of uncertainty in which many of the most relevant productive sectors in Spain were severely affected, having an indirect impact on those who provide their services for the development of the activity, the company decided to go for talent protection plan. The plan consisted mainly of reassigning to social projects those professionals who, due to the situation, had been temporarily unassigned, avoiding any readjustment of the workforce. Furthermore, promotions continued at all levels of the company in the corresponding months.
Accordingly, thanks to the adaptation of professionals and management that continues to adapt to each of the socioeconomic momenta, everis was also able to keep up with the rate of hiring. In the second semester of the fiscal year alone (it closes on March 31), 1,300 people were incorporated in Spain in the workforce, a number that is expected to continue to rise throughout 2021. The forecast for this year is to increase by 3,000 professionals from all areas of technology consulting.
"We came out of a complicated situation strengthened thanks to the professionalism and capacity of all the people dedicated to applying technological solutions in our ecosystem," said Flora G. Mesa, Global Head of People at everis, from the NTT DATA Group.
"We are at a perfect time to continue evolving towards work models with much greater flexibility and not only time but place, form, and time. We propose a company model in which everyone has the freedom to work in their own way, remotely or in a hybrid way. The most important thing is that each one manages how his talent contributes to the sole objective of accompanying our clients, with a personalized career to the reality of each professional,” adds the executive.
